Three things to know.

  • 100% is a full day

Every score is a share of one full day’s mental energy.

  • Effort, not hours

A one-hour pitch can take more out of you than a two-hour errand run.

  • Make it yours

The same meeting can be easy for one person and draining for another.

How do I know if my day is overbooked?

Add up what each item will take. Past 100%, you’ve planned more than a full day of mental energy, even if the calendar still has gaps. Back-to-back heavy items are the usual cause.

What is a good daily capacity?

60 to 90%, the range Brainwidth calls Good. It’s productive and leaves room for the unexpected.

Can a day go over 100%?

Yes. 100% is a full day, not a hard limit. Several heavy days in a row is the pattern to watch. If you’re over, consider moving an event or task to another day.

What number should I give something?

Think of 100 as a full day. A quick email check is about 2 to 5, a one-hour meeting 10 to 18, and a big presentation 25 to 35.

Is anything I type saved?

No. The calculator runs in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

How is this different from the app?

The app pulls in your real calendars and tasks, so you only set the scores, or let Auto Estimate suggest them on your iPhone.
