Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Brainwidth accessible to everyone
Our Commitment
At Brainwidth, we believe that productivity tools should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We are committed to ensuring that our application provides an excellent experience for all users, including those with disabilities.
Accessibility Features
VoiceOver Support
Full compatibility with Apple's VoiceOver screen reader. All interactive elements include descriptive labels, and navigation is optimized for screen reader users.
Dynamic Type
Support for all iOS Dynamic Type sizes. Text scales appropriately based on your system settings, ensuring readability at any size.
High Contrast Mode
Enhanced contrast ratios and visual indicators when using iOS's Increase Contrast feature. All text meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards (4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio).
Reduce Motion Support
Respects iOS's Reduce Motion setting. Animations are minimized or removed entirely when this accessibility preference is enabled.
Keyboard Navigation
Full keyboard and external keyboard support. All actions can be performed without touch input.
Voice Control
Compatible with iOS Voice Control for hands-free operation. All interface elements can be activated via voice commands.
Switch Control
Support for iOS Switch Control, allowing users with motor impairments to navigate using adaptive switches.
Color Blindness
Color is never the only means of conveying information. We use patterns, labels, and icons alongside color to ensure information is accessible to users with color vision deficiencies.
Standards Compliance
Brainwidth is designed to conform to:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA principles
- Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for Accessibility
- Section 508 standards for electronic and information technology
Known Limitations
We are continuously working to improve accessibility. Currently, we are aware of the following limitations:
- Some complex data visualizations may not be fully accessible to screen readers (we provide text alternatives)
- Calendar heat maps rely partially on color coding (we're adding pattern fills in a future update)
